Chewning + Wilmer’s mechanical division performs all aspects of stainless, carbon steel, high purity piping, fabrication and installation of process and utility piping, equipment erection. This includes rigging, millwright installations, and full pipe fabrication shop in our Richmond, Virginia location. This includes CWI weld inspector, budget estimates, design layout and QA/QC tracking. We’ve completed projects for Nestle-Purina, Micron, Fort Belvoir Night Vision Labs, NASA, Dupont, Stone Brewing, WestRock, Ashland Aqualon and tobacco manufacturing facilities.

Our mechanical division performs all aspects of fabrication and installation of process and utility piping, high purity piping, equipment erection, budget estimates, design layout, and QA/QC tracking. Our customers love that we’re able to provide Turnkey E&I installations, as well. Our field supervisors are always connected and cognizant of all other trades on-site such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

Matheson Tri Gas
The project consisted of layout & sketching project from P&ID’s, furnishing, fabricating and installing pipe and supports, instrumentation, placing owner furnished equipment on location for new High Pressure Oxygen Compressor System.
Wallops Island Testing Facility
This project involves 9500 square feet of Mechanical process piping, and High purity piping system to be installed per the Mars and NASA piping specifications and more.
