Chewning & Wilmer recently concluded a $15 million expansion and renovation project at Bon Secours Mercy Health St. Francis Hospital, which involved adding 109,000 square feet and renovating 69,000 square feet. The complex project encompassed work on electrical systems, fire alarms, structured cabling, access control, nurse call systems, and overhead paging. The new expansion includes an ICU suite, NICU suite, and Med/Surge suite, while the renovation features an Observation suite, Mother Infant suite, Woman’s Imaging suite, Pharmacy suite, Gift Shop, and MRI suite. This essential infrastructure project, located in Chesterfield, Virginia, added 55 patient beds to the St. Francis Medical Facility to serve the local community. C&W’s installation included the addition of (1) New 2,000kW generator, (6) New ATS’s, new additional normal power switchgear section to existing and operational gear, new emergency switchgear fed from a new section to the existing switchgear, and 6 new conduit risers through an operational facility.
